Narrative Academy is a brand operated by Chris Ford, doing business as The Narrative Companies, based in North Carolina, United States.

Information you give us. When you submit a contact form, an application, or join our email list, we collect the details you provide. Because our program supports students aged 16–21, this is typically submitted by a parent or guardian and may include the parent/guardian’s name, email, and phone number, along with the student’s first name and age, the program of interest, and any message.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider may log basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit. We use this only to keep the Site running, secure, and reliable.

Parents and guardians

For students under 18, the parent or guardian is the account holder and provides information on the student’s behalf. The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

How we use your information

• To respond to inquiries and applications, and to schedule calls.
• To send emails you have asked to receive, such as cohort news.
• To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site.

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the program, and only as needed to provide their service:

• Formspree — processes and delivers our website form and application submissions.
• Our web hosting provider — hosts and serves the Site.

Email and your choices

You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any email or by emailing us. You can also ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you or your student — just reach out using the contact details below and we’ll honor reasonable requests.

Data retention & security

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here, then delete or anonymize it. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
